Currently, she serves as the Music Director of the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra.
With roots in Cuba and a global footprint, Sandra Cepero Alvarez blends classical discipline with vibrant energy. A graduate of top conservatories in Havana and Spain, her journey includes leading orchestras across Europe and the Americas. Beyond conducting, Sandra is also a dedicated educator shaping the next generation of musicians with heart and excellence.

Sandra Cepero Alvarez is a Cuban-born orchestra conductor known for her dynamic energy, artistic precision, and international presence. She began her musical journey at the age of seven and earned her bachelor’s degree in orchestral conducting from the University of Arts in Havana. She later pursued postgraduate studies in Spain and trained under world-renowned conductors like BenjamÃn Zander and Valery Gergiev.
